Aim: The aim of the Turkish Studies (ISSN 1308-2140) is to provide an open-access academic ground where researchers working in the field of Arts and Humanities can share and disseminate their findings.

Scope: Turkish Studies publishes academic studies in the field of Arts and Humanities (Archaeology, Architecture, Art, Cultural Studies, Film, Radio, Television, Folklore, Music, Philosophy, Theater).

Categories of Manuscript: Turkish Studies publishes studies such as research article, review article, theoretical article, opinion article, case report, opinion letter, teaching practice, translation), meeting abstract, book review, legislation review, decision review, film review, conference paper, and short communication.

 

Frequency/Period: The journal publishes seven issues (February, April, June, August, October, December, Special Issue) per year. From 2023 the Journal publishes a maximum of 40 articles in each issue.

Primary Language: The publication language of the journal is Turkish and English. Studies written in other languages can also be published with the decision of the Editorial Board.

Submission: Submitted manuscripts must not have been published previously nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Electronic via the Web only: The journal only accepts submissions via the Web at http://www.turkishstudies.net/dergi.jsp

Article Publication Charges (APCs): The journal does not charge an Article Processing Fee (APC), regardless of the acceptance/rejection condition.

Plagiarism Screening: Authors must also upload the document showing the similarity rate while uploading their articles. The similarity rate can be up to 20%.

Article DOIs: Articles are assigned DOI-numbers. Turkish Studies (ISSN 1308-2140) is the first journal that started to assigned DOI-numbers in Turkey.
